About the project
Given the strong impact that technology has on all areas of human life, the media contains a vast amount of information touching on technological development. However, the creators of such content are often individuals who lack the necessary expertise, resulting in numerous disseminated misinformation.
Therefore, as an initial step in addressing this problem, it is necessary to ensure an unbiased and non-commercial source of information based on evidence from the relevant field. Through this project, a communication platform in the form of a virtual magazine will be developed. This platform will publish debunked and corrected information, and it will allow anyone interested to ask questions and receive expert opinions on related topics.
The project will bring together a wide network of collaborators engaged in fact-checking. An algorithm will be developed to identify peer reviewers of scientific papers as potential fact-checkers, using available databases. Media representatives will also be educated, and collaboration will be established with them as part of the project.
Project partners will create various media content and promote project activities to raise public awareness about the problem of misinformation in these areas.
